Mobile Food Pantry – Wednesday, May 24th

The Mobile Food Pantry will again be at the Pocahontas Expo Center at the Fair Grounds this Wednesday, May 24th.

Volunteers are needed to help unload the truck and set up, starting at 11:30 a.m.

Volunteers are again needed to help with the food distribution and carrying food to vehicles from 4:30 – 6:00.

Please make sure you share the word about this to your neighbors and friends, especially if they need to help stretch their food!  Otherwise, come on down and lend a helping hand!

Mobile Food Pantry this Wednesday, May 25th

It’s Mobile Pantry Food Distribution time again!!  Please remind your friends, neighbors, and family that may need some extra food to help stretch their meal budget to come to the Expo Center this Wednesday, May 25th, from 4:30 – 6:00.

Also, if anyone is available to help unload the truck and set up, please call the church office (335-3663) or be at the Expo Center around 11:30 am.  And then when that is done, anyone who is available to help with the distribution anytime between 4:30 – 6:00, please come on down to help!

Food Bank, Game Night, and Ingathering Kits = BUSY week at Hope UMC

Wow!  Lots to update because this is a busy week for Hope UMC!  Please read below with the extra events happening in addition to the regular meetings, etc.

FIRST, the Iowa FOOD BANK MOBILE PANTRY will be at the Expo Center this coming Wednesday, Oct. 21st.  If you are available to help unload the truck, please meet at the Expo Center at 11:00 that day.  Food distribution will be from 4:30 – 6:00.  Please make sure your families and friends remember this date if they can use some extra help with food.  It’s always great to have extra helping hands!

NEXT, this Friday, October 23rd @ 6:30, there will be a Fellowship GAME NIGHT for EVERYONE at the Pocahontas Center Fellowship Hall.    Please bring your own drinks, a snack to share, and a favorite game.  It will be a great time to enjoy the original art of “gaming!!”  🙂

And, last but not least, the INGATHERING KITS we have been assembling need to be at the church by next Sunday, Oct. 25th so they can be sorted and packed.  Please leave any money for shipping in the office with Melissa.
