Join us this Sunday, Dec. 5th to see the POW Nativity scene in Algona

This Sunday, December 5th, our church family is planning an outing to Algona to visit the nativity set and POW museum. The nativity was built by German POW’s during World War II.  We will also be visiting the Camp Algona museum.

The nativity  is operated off of free will donations. Admission into the museum is $3.00 for adults and $2.00 for children.  The plan is to carpool from the Pocahontas church parking lot, leaving at 1:30.  We will congregate at the Pizza Ranch in Algona around 5:45-6:00. This  is not just an outing for adults as children would benefit from learning about this slice of Iowa history.

Please spread the word. This is a great opportunity to see this unique piece of history in our own backyard!
