So, be sure to bring your friends, family and neighbors to VBS Day Camp at Hope UMC from Monday, June 26th – Thursday, June 29th. The theme is “ROOTED” and is based on Colossians 2:6-7. We are again partnering with the Ingham Okoboji Lutheran Bible Camp for a great time of Christ-centered activities, games, arts and crafts, songs, skits, and Bible-based lessons.
See the poster below for more details, but it’s not too late to come and get “ROOTED!” We Hope to see you there!
Hope UMC will be holding informational meetings following worship on Sunday, June 18th and 25th.
Worship is at 9:00 (our new summer schedule) and our informational meeting will follow in the Fellowship Hall.
Both meetings will review the same information, yet some of the questions asked and answered may vary from week to week, so you are welcome/encouraged to attend both if you are able.
These meetings are to make sure that all of our church family have the same information as Hope UMC needs to evaluate how to best continue our mission of making disciples of Jesus Christ for the transformation of the world, including our county, our communities, our school, and our church.
Please mark your calendar so you can attend at least one (if not both) of these informational meetings!
We HOPE to see you there!
There will be a new summer worship schedule for Hope UMC starting Sunday, June 4th. There will be only one worship service at 9:00 a.m. at the Pocahontas Center. This new schedule will continue for the remainder of the summer.
The Leadership Team decided this would be beneficial for a smooth transition as we prepare for Pastor Jerry’s last Sunday with us and as we allow our new pastor, Pastor Elijah, some time to get to know his new church families. Pastor Elijah’s first Sunday with us will be on July 9th.
We hope you will also be able to join us as we say farewell to Pastor Jerry and Amy this Sunday, June 4th. It will be Pastor Jerry’s last Sunday to lead worship at Hope UMC. There will be a brunch/potluck following the 9:00 a.m. worship service so we can thank them both for their service and witness to our Hope UMC family. So, grab some goodies to share and join us in our farewell celebration. We “HOPE“ to see you there!
