Staying Connected…

It’s important to take time to stay connected with God.  In today’s fast paced world, we can access His word online, or on an app on our phone!

Check out the DEVOTIONS tab for more ways you can stay in touch with God!

PS  And feel free to join us each Sunday to do just that!  🙂

Working Together!

Hope UMC is committed to work together to serve both the church and our community!  On Saturday, June 6th, a work crew met to do some clean-up projects around the church.  Rock border was put in, bushes trimmed, windows washed, and the list goes on!

For more information on other ways we work together, check out the tabs on our website or call the church office @ 712-335-3663.

See the photos tab for more pictures from this day!

Go and Make Disciples…

The mission of the Methodist Church is  “To make disciples of Jesus Christ for the transformation of the world.”   Sharing the good news relies less on lofty ideas than it does on us going out and spreading His word.  Romans 10:14-15 states, “But how are they to call on one in whom they have  not believed?  And how are they to believe in one of who they have never heard?  And how are they to hear without someone to proclaim him?   And how are they to proclaim  him unless  they are sent?

That’s what we need to do…  share the good news of Jesus Christ to others, so they too can come to know him.  Sharing the gift of Christ is definitely the Best. Gift. EVER!

As we begin this new year, let’s make sure we don’t keep Jesus all to ourselves, but that we eagerly share him with others, so that they too may have the eternal life-line!

So…. share Christ with someone today!  You both will be blessed because of it!

Fear Not!

As we continue to practice social distancing, please take time to reflect on how much Jesus loves us and what he was willing to do for each one of us.

Although we are isolated from each other due to COVID-19, FEAR NOT!  – – We are NEVER ALONE – – God is always with us.  Turn to Him when Satan is using fear to discourage you.

We still may not be able to worship together in person, but we can join by technology!  We hope you will Zoom in for our weekly Sunday service at 10:30!   If you need us to email you a link, please email Pastor Kris  ( and you will be added to our list!
